Crawley Swimming Club has a rich history in competitions from county, regional, national and beyond.
Our club provides many progressive squads. In Academy our youngest members can begin at 6 years old. As swimmers progress in Academy they will be introduced to fun compeitions, gain experience racing and learn to how to train in preparation for our youth squads.
With a growing number of para swimmers the club provides smaller groups, with more bespoke training, and where appropriate including para swimmers within academy and youth squads. Our para swimmers have achieved national and international standard.
Our large Masters (adults) programme also provides a broad range of ability levels.
Please see squads for more details and entry criteria.
Trying out for competitive squads (For Academy - please see Academy page)
In order to participate in a trial a swimmer must be competent across all 4 strokes (front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly.) Disability swimmers should be able to confidently swim a minimum distance of 25m unaided in deep water.
Competitive Squad Expectations (County Development to Masters)
Crawley Swimming Club competitive squads swim at K2 in Crawley on various days of the week. Depending on the squad to which a swimmer qualifies they will be required to participate in 2 to 7 sessions per week. As these are competitive swim squads, a swimmer is expected to compete regularly in competitions as directed by the coach.
Trial Process
Once your trial is complete you will be contacted with the results within 48 hours.
At that time you may be invited to join one of the competitive squads for a trial period. This period is meant to give the swimmer and team a mutual evaluation period.
