Due to a resent restructure, this squad is now called National Development.  This page and the criteria will be updated shortly.

The Performance Squad is divided into Junior and Age Group

Swimmers movement up into the Competitive Performance Squad will be based on age and achievement of the set criteria above.

Please note: fulfilling the criteria does not guarantee movement and will always be at the discretion of the Head Coach.

Aims of the squad: Competitive and physical development, national qualifying and regional times, potential ability, technical. skills, mental attitude, racing ability, training ethos, lifestyle management, ambition and taking responsibility for their own actions and punctuality and respect to coaches and other volunteers on poolside.

All swimmers MUST be self-motivated to achieve their goals and to maintain attendance and enter in ALL competitions as set out by the Head Coach in the club's competition calendar. Swimmers in the Competitive Performance Squad?must be prepared to represent the club at major competitions as requested by the Head Coach.

Swimmers places in the High Performance Squads will be reviewed based on continuing achievement of the squad criteria and performance or at the discretion of the Head Coach.

The Head Coach will reserve the right to recommend that swimmers that are not attending competitions and/or not achieving the criteria move to another squad.
