Crawley  played really well in this match, which was hard fought, Rough and Ugly at times, due to Hornchurch turning this game into a very physical and un-stylish match .Crawley kept their discipline really well ,by having patience, along with belief in how a game of Water Polo should be played, picking their goals when necessary after setting up well in the pool. Crawley took an initial first quarter lead by 4 – 2, with two goals coming from James O’Dell, Richard Woodman and Elliot Hurst. The second quarter score of 9 -6 to Crawley, started to really frustrate Hornchurch who never really started with any discipline in the first place, turning this game ugly. However, by the third quarter, Crawley keeping to their game plan and  coolness under pressure, saw them take a lead of 15-8, which pretty much assured them of a win , unless they trough it away in the last quarter, which they didn’t, they simply played defensive and took an occasional opportunity if necessary. Blooded and bruised Crawley deserved this win  by putting up with a lot of abuse and by not retaliating, going about their business as trained by their Coach. These London League matches seem to be very physical and one wonders that ,perhaps Hornchurch had too much sun during the day , on this occasion ?They were certainly shown how to play Water Polo !

Crawley goals were scored by James O’Dell [5], Richard Woodman [3], Matt O’Dell [2], Toby Underwood [2],Elliot Hurst [1] and Stefan Alin Berechet [4]
