Inter-County Water Polo

Sussex took two young squads to the Inter County Under 14 (Mixed) and Under 16 Girls competitions, held at Whitgift on December 18th. Amongst the Sussex debutants were four Crawley players - Toby Underwood, Tom Kane and Matt O'Dell in the Under 14s and Camilla Brandon in the U16 Girls.
Sussex won two of their three U14 matches, with Toby and Tom showing great determination and improved technique, and scoring some goals. Matt O'Dell (12 next month) played outfield, and in goal, to gain county representation at his age is a great achievement. These players joined Lara Partridge the only Crawley player remaining from last year's U14 Mixed and U16 Girls squads. Camilla Brandon joined Lara in the U16 Girls squad, as the youngest player in the team and announced her arrival at this level with a well-taken goal against Surrey. With more experience and training, Camilla will join the existing band of highly thought-of Crawley polo girls.
