Crawley Water Polo
Crawley SC 's water polo team was permanently formed in 1975 under the guidance of Lin Dauncey, and has since competed in the Sussex League at senior and junior level, as well as in a number of other regional tournaments and competitions. Since moving to K2 in late 2005 the team has benefited from playing and training in an all deep-water pool, which is also attractive to experienced senior polo players looking for a team to join or return to playing.
The move to K2 has also allowed us to expand and revitalise our junior section such that we have a number of our most talented youngsters playing for Sussex in age group competitions and in combined age group teams with other Sussex clubs in the London Winter League.

We play in the following age group competitions in the London Winter League, Under 18 Boys, Under 18 Girls, Under 16 Mixed, Under 14 Mixed, Under 12 Mixed. In 2009 we won the U12 competition in a combined team with Mid Sussex Marlins. To start playing at age 10 you will need to be a confident swimmer and be doing some swimming training. Potential new players are welcome along for a trial by prior arrangement.
In recent years a number of Crawley Junior players have gone on (at age group level) to play at county level for Sussex, some at regional level for South East Region, and at the club nationals. In 2011 a number of Crawley players were invited to attend the Basingstoke RTC. This has been achieved from scratch since 2008 when we revitalised the junior section and it illustrates the latent talent that lies within many swimming clubs and what can be achieved if there is the determination to develop it.
As part of the swimming club, fees are payable and reviewed annually to cover coaching, insurance and pool hire etc.
